The session addressed current asset status, improvement opportunities, training programs, contract models, and performance solutions designed to ensure operational efficiency.
Francisca Reyes, ABB Chile’s Service Account Manager for the mining segment, detailed that teams worked in integrated fashion to present a comprehensive support plan for ongoing client accompaniment. Reyes emphasized Electrification’s cross-functional role as a key component of the complete supply circuit, supporting both automation and large motor areas as well as Motion systems.
The Process Automation division contributed expertise on major assets. Adolfo Aliste, ABB Chile’s commercial support leader for GMD and high-power rectifiers, explained the workshop enabled the company to present its experience, capabilities, and available technical support for high-importance assets. This articulation directly addresses operational and sustainability requirements of the project.
Viviana Rojas, Motion’s Service Sales Manager at ABB Chile, emphasized actions at service level to deliver committed operational continuity and energy efficiency levels. Rojas highlighted the value of anticipation, noting collaboration already extends from project areas through maintenance operations.
The partnership reflects historical confidence dating to Minera Esperanza’s inception. Macarena Montenegro, superintendent of asset integrity at Minera Centinela, confirmed ABB functions as a partner understanding operational reality and providing support during significant events and failures, underlining the value of such instances for anticipating technical difficulties.
Cuturrufo reaffirmed the value of consolidating the alliance with a future-oriented perspective, formalizing both companies’ joint commitment to building more efficient, reliable, and sustainable mining operations from Nueva Centinela’s first day of commissioning.
