Colombian developer Bosques Solares has obtained construction clearance for its 224 MWp Bosques Solares de los Llanos 8 (BSL8) project in Villavicencio, positioning the battery-coupled facility for commissioning within Colombia’s long-term renewable procurement framework. The permit from Villavicencio’s Curaduría Urbana Primera completes the administrative pathway following February’s environmental license, clearing the way for construction on a 411.5-hectare site that includes the solar field, transmission easement, and step-up substation. With power purchase agreements already secured and battery storage integrated, the project represents a deepening of utility-scale solar-plus-storage deployment in Meta department’s eastern plains.
