The search trend aligns with capacity expansion nationwide. According to the Brazilian Photovoltaic Solar Energy Association ABSOLAR, solar generation totals 68.8 gigawatts of installed capacity in Brazil and represents approximately 25 percent of the electrical matrix, ranking second among generation sources. Residential systems maintain leadership with Brazil surpassing 3 million residential solar installations according to 2025 data from national energy regulator Aneel. However, searches for apartment and condominium solar applications indicate demand extending to collective residential models requiring shared generation, remote self-consumption and common area supply configurations.
Corporate installations rank second in search associations after residential queries. TTS Energia reported that more than 217,000 companies added self-generation capacity between January and October, using solar installations to reduce electricity expenses, increase cost predictability and advance sustainability objectives. Regional search distribution shows Rondônia and Tocantins leading proportional business solar queries in the North region, with both states ranking among the top three in distributed solar generation regionally according to 2026 ABSOLAR data.
The Northeast shows elevated proportional interest from Piauí, Sergipe, Maranhão and Rio Grande do Norte, though none rank among national leaders in distributed generation capacity. The gap between digital interest and installed infrastructure suggests markets where information seeking precedes physical deployment. Mato Grosso leads distributed solar generation in the Center-West region while appearing prominently in searches alongside Mato Grosso do Sul. Espírito Santo registers high proportional search interest in the Southeast, and Paraná occupies third position nationally in distributed generation capacity.
Agricultural properties appear among the five property types most associated with solar searches, indicating growing technology presence in agribusiness. Rural applications can supply irrigation systems, water pumping, refrigeration, storage, processing and other electricity-dependent operations. The rural segment currently accounts for approximately 14 percent of Brazil’s total solar capacity.
