Celaris Energy CEO María del Pilar Matto confirmed the company is targeting 10% market share of contracts expiring in 2026, up from 3% captured in 2025. The commercial strategy focuses on industrial sectors with high electricity consumption including textiles, plastics, and retail, offering 100% renewable energy with international I-REC certification and real-time consumption monitoring through smart meters. The company currently participates in 100 procurement processes across mining, retail, and large industrial consumers in both free and regulated markets.
Beyond Caravelí, Celaris operates the 20 MW Manta hydroelectric plant in Áncash under contract to the Peruvian state through 2040. The company is advancing site selection for six to seven additional projects combining wind and solar technologies across Piura, La Libertad, Ica, Moquegua, Tacna, and Puno regions. Two solar projects could enter operation in 2027, with the full portfolio expected online between 2027 and 2031. The expansion aims to increase Peru’s non-conventional renewable energy share from the current 9-10% to approximately 13% by 2028, injecting 3 TWh annually into the national grid. Celaris is evaluating battery storage integration to flatten production curves and reduce intermittency, potentially acquiring developed projects to accelerate deployment timelines.
