In Chile, the firm supported three major Grenergy projects: Teno at 838 MWh, Planchón at 360 MWh, and Tamango at 168 MWh. The engagement included manufacturing oversight and FAT verification for BESS integrators as well as critical BOS components. These projects form part of Chile’s expanding utility-scale storage sector, where Enertis Applus+ has also acted as independent technical advisor for financial closures on 880 MW and 3.5 GWh of operational projects, with an additional 1.7 GW and 5.8 GWh in late-stage financing.
The Australian market engagement included the 400 MWh New England project developed by ACEN Australia, where Enertis Applus+ conducted factory audits, manufacturing monitoring, and FAT supervision for BESS containers and BOS equipment. The company operates through offices in 12 countries with eight laboratories, including two fixed facilities with CBTL/IECEE ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation in Shanghai and Madrid, plus six mobile laboratory units.
Carlos Sandoval, Head of Quality Assurance, Technology and Supply Chain at Enertis Applus+, emphasized the comprehensive approach spanning supplier evaluation through commissioning support. The firm’s methodology addresses technical risk mitigation while ensuring compliance with international standards across the BESS value chain. This positioning proves particularly relevant as supply chain quality issues have emerged as a significant risk factor in utility-scale battery deployments globally.
The company’s broader portfolio includes technical advisory services for standalone and hybrid solar-plus-storage projects. Notable engagements include Grenergy’s Víctor Jara hybrid facility combining 230 MW solar with 1.3 GWh storage capacity, part of the Oasis de Atacama development. Enertis Applus+ also advised on Atlas Renewable Energy’s BESS del Desierto project, a 200 MW and 800 MWh standalone system representing one of Chile’s largest battery installations.
