The contracted volume equates to the annual consumption of roughly 1,500 Argentine households and is projected to avoid approximately 2,300 tonnes of CO2 equivalent emissions per year. The agreement operates within the Mercado a Término de Energías Renovables framework, allowing large users to incorporate renewable generation into operations without modifying baseline electricity demand from the grid.
Mariana Sciarreta, commercial director and head of institutional relations at Hospital Británico, stated that integrating renewable energy advances the institution’s commitment to resource management and environmental impact reduction. The hospital has pursued environmental initiatives including waste separation and recycling programs, standardized recovery and disposal of electronic waste, adoption of certified sustainable paper for administrative processes, partnerships with urban recycling cooperatives, and donation of over 4,000 kilograms of medications to community banks. The institution received the Green Seal environmental certification from the Buenos Aires city government in 2025, recognizing integrated waste management and continuous improvement in environmental practices.

YPF Luz currently serves more than 140 industrial clients through the term market and operates as Argentina’s leading private electricity generation company by installed capacity, maintaining 3.8 GW across 17 assets including renewable parks and thermal plants distributed across eight provinces. The company is constructing a 90 MW battery storage project at Central Dock Sud.
