Petrobras has authorized the launch of an engineering, procurement and construction tender for a new diesel hydrotreating unit at its Presidente Getúlio Vargas refinery in Paraná state, with a processing capacity of 5,500 cubic meters per day of S-10 diesel. The initiative forms part of the company’s 2026-2030 business plan portfolio but does not yet represent a final execution decision. If approved alongside similar projects at two other refineries, the combined capacity expansion could reach approximately 70,000 barrels per day.
