The Metropolitan Region leads with 146,340 kW of accumulated declared capacity and 14,723 systems, followed by Valparaíso with 74,721 kW across 4,852 installations, Maule with 60,489 kW and 3,793 systems, and O’Higgins with 60,074 kW. During 2026 through May, the Metropolitan Region added 16,145 kW, Valparaíso 8,736 kW, O’Higgins 6,684 kW, Maule 5,430 kW, and Ñuble 3,460 kW. Monthly declarations reached 10,332 kW in May, below the 14,668 kW registered in January and 13,605 kW in March.
Systems in the 200-300 kW capacity range account for 193,772 kW of cumulative installed power, the largest single segment. However, installations in the 0-10 kW bracket total 38,187 units out of the 41,986 national count, indicating residential and small commercial projects dominate by number while larger industrial systems contribute disproportionately to aggregate capacity.
Private financing backs 421,190 kW of declared capacity, significantly exceeding other financing categories. By consumption sector, agriculture leads with 208,316 kW, followed by residential with 124,523 kW, industrial with 74,537 kW, and commercial with 56,509 kW. Associated battery storage capacity totaled 201 kWh by end-May 2026, concentrated in the Metropolitan Region with 75 kWh, Maule with 32 kWh, and Ñuble with 28 kWh.
Cumulative annual generation from Net Billing installations reaches 714,000 MWh with avoided emissions estimated at 652,122 tons of CO2. The government’s stated target calls for 500 MW of installed capacity by 2026, a threshold the country has now exceeded with seven months remaining in the year.
