The Argentine government has approved Pampa Energía’s Rincón de Aranda project as the 20th initiative admitted to the Large Investment Incentive Regime (RIGI), marking the first oil production venture to enter the program since its scope was expanded in February 2026. The approval brings cumulative RIGI investments to $46 billion, with 21 additional projects under evaluation as the regime becomes central to Argentina’s extractive industry strategy.
