A portion of the electricity generated at Sento Sé will supply data center projects that Casa dos Ventos is developing across Brazil, connecting new renewable generation capacity to the country’s growing demand for reliable, low-carbon power from digital infrastructure. Lucas Araripe, chief executive officer of Casa dos Ventos, confirmed the strategic partnership and noted the direct linkage between the wind farm output and the company’s data center portfolio in different Brazilian regions.
The GWH182-8.0 MW turbine was designed for high-wind-speed conditions and extended operational life. Goldwind manufactures the GWH182 series at its Camaçari facility in Bahia, which delivered its first turbine from the production line in late 2024. The GWH182 models produced at the facility obtained FINAME certification from Brazil’s national development bank BNDES, enabling eligible projects to access policy-based financing lines.
Goldwind vice president Wang Hai described Sento Sé as a strategic initiative and emphasized the company’s accumulated experience serving renewable energy needs of data centers. Goldwind has operated in Latin America for over 15 years with more than 3 GW of installed capacity in the region. The company continues strengthening local capabilities through partnerships, technical support, long-term services and local supply chain investments.
Casa dos Ventos separately committed to invest 10 billion reais in Rio Grande do Sul state over four years, including 3.9 billion reais for the Torquato Severo wind park in Dom Pedrito, scheduled to begin construction in 2027 with 90 turbines. The company also formalized an approximately 2 billion dollar agreement with Omnia in May 2026 to supply up to 300 MW average of renewable energy to the Data Center Pecém in Ceará. TotalEnergies is exercising its option to increase its Casa dos Ventos stake from 34 percent to 49 percent while consolidating its Brazilian renewable assets under the platform.
