Developer Coral Energía, a subsidiary of Grupo Corven, reports an installed capacity of 8.07 MWp for the project with estimated annual generation of 12,500 MWh and total investment of $6.04 million. The discrepancy between the 6 MW grid access request and the 8.07 MWp installed capacity reflects the difference between AC and DC ratings typical in solar developments. San Francisco del Chañar was awarded under the RenMDI renewable generation tender at 6 MW capacity.
The four-park portfolio announced in July includes facilities in San Francisco, Villa María, and Cruz del Eje alongside San Francisco del Chañar. Financing for the 20 MW program includes a syndicated loan of $12.25 million from Banco Nación, BIND, and Banco Ciudad. EPEC and Coral Energía signed their development agreement in August 2024 to execute the projects under the RenMDI framework.
The grid access request will remain published for five administrative business days on ENReGE and CAMMESA websites. A subsequent five-day period will allow submission of alternative proposals, observations, or objections based on potential adverse impacts to SADI. Absent any submissions, the regulator will authorize the requested access. EPEC must still meet technical requirements established by grid operator CAMMESA and ENReGE’s public safety and environmental unit before connection proceeds.
